Jira Integration

This document provides the introduction to Jira and its integration with Avo Assure.

Jira is a versatile project management tool developed by Atlassian, primarily used for tracking issues, managing projects, and automating workflows. The Jira Integration is a feature that enables users to log defects and other issues on the Jira platform directly, based on the reports generated by Avo Assure.

The Defect Tracking Management feature in Jira is an essential tool for overseeing software development and testing processes. The main objective of the Defect Tracking Management tool is to make it easier to identify and handle software application errors or problems found during testing or any other stage of development.

Why Jira?

Bugs are stored in a centralized repository within Jira, ensuring that all team members have access to the latest information and updates, providing a seamless communication and collaboration between testers, developers, and other stakeholders involved in the bug resolution process.

Integration of Avo Assure with Jira allows users to map user stories and Testcases with Avo scenarios. Additionally, users can raise a bug, and the link to the corresponding Testcase is automatically attached to that bug for better traceability.

Pre-requisites:

There are a few prerequisites to integrating Jira with Avo Assure. They are:

  1. Jira Username

  2. Jira DevOps URL
