Avo Genius
Avo Genius is a smart recorder that helps users create testcases automatically as the user navigates through applications. Avo Genius will enable technical and non-technical users to design and test quickly and with minimal effort. Note: Avo Genius is only applicable for web projects.
Avo Genius Prerequisites
The user has to navigate to the Avo Assure home screen.
The user has to click the Avo Genius button.
The user has to click the link to download the Avo Genius Extension.
The link will navigate the user to the Chrome web store.
The user has to click the Add to Chrome button.
The user has to click the Add Extension button.
The user has to navigate to the Avo Assure home page.
The user has to click the Close icon to access the Avo Assure home screen.
Projects Details
The user has to click the Avo Genius button, and the Avo Genius window will be displayed.
The user has to select the project from the Select a Project drop-down.
To select the existing test suite, the user has to select the test suite from the Select Test Suite drop-down.
To create the new test suite, the user has to click the Create Test Suite button, and the Create Test Suite window will be displayed.
The user has to enter the test suite name in the Enter Test Suite Name field and click the Create button. The Test Suite Created Successfully toast message will be displayed.
To select the existing testcase, the user has to select the testcase from the Select Test Case drop-down.
The override window will be displayed if the user selects the existing testcase.
If the user wants to override the current testcase, click the Yes button.
If the user doesn't want to override the current testcase, click the No button.
To create the new testcase, the user has to click the Create Testcase button, and the Create Testcase window will be displayed.
The user has to enter the testcase name in the Enter Testcase Name field and click the Create button. The Testcase Created Successfully toast message will be displayed.
The user has to select the application type from the Select Application Type drop-down.
The user has to enter the application URL in the Application URL field.
To clear the entered details, the user has to click the Reset button.
After entering the required data, the user has to click the Next button.
Record Testcases
The user can capture the test steps to execute the scenarios.
Avo Genius recording home page will be displayed, and the user has to click the Activate Genius button.

Once the user clicks the Activate Genius button, the system will generate a toast message Recording Started.
Once the recording is started, the entered URL will be opened in the default browser.
The user will work on the application on the left side, and the automation completion will display on the right.
The user has to click the Pause button to pause the recording.
Once the user completes the test steps, then the user has to click the Stop button to stop the recording.
If the user clicks the stop button, the system will display Confirm window. If the user wants to stop the work, the user must click the Yes button. If the user does not want to stop the work, the user must click the No button.
To view the Mindmap, the user has to click the Mindmap icon, and the Mindmap window will be displayed.
To debug the test steps, the user has to click the Preview Scenario icon. The system will start execution.
To view the Attribute and Value, the user has to click the (i) icon.
To edit the screen name, the user has to click the Edit Screen icon.
To delete the screen, the user has to click the Delete Screen icon.
To delete the screen, the user has to click the Delete Screen icon.
To expand/collapse the screens, the user has to click the Expand/Collapse icon.
To delete all the recorded screens, the user has to click the EraseAll icon.
To get the data spreadsheet, the user has to click the Data Parameterization icon. The captured data will be created as an Excel file. The user can modify the Test Data Spreadsheet as needed. The user has to provide the test data spreadsheet path and click the Save button.
To close the Avo Genius, the user has to click the Close icon.
The system will display a Confirm window. If the user wants to close the Genius, the user must click the Yes button. If the user does not want to close the Genius, the user must click the No button.
Edit Recorded Testcase
The user must click the three dots icon to access the context menu.
To copy the test step, the user has to click the Copy button. The system will display a toast message as Test Step copied. Note: The user can copy and paste the required step into the required screen.
To paste the test step, the user has to click the Paste button. The system will display a toast message, Test Step pasted. Note: The user can paste the required step into the necessary screen.
To edit the test step, the user has to click the Edit Test Step button, and the Add New Test Step window will be displayed. Edit the required test step and click the Save button.
To delete the test step, the user has to click the Delete Test Step button. If the user wants to delete the test step, click the Yes button, and the user will display a toast message, Test Step Deleted Successfully. If the user does not want to delete the test step, click the No button.
To edit the insert test step above, the user has to click the Insert Test step Above button, and the Add New Test Step window will be displayed. Edit the required test step and click the Save button.
