# Import & Export Element Repository

### Import Repository 

The Import Elements function allows you to retrieve elements from the local machine and store them in a project which can be reused, serving as a backup for future reference. 

Step-by-step process to import element repository in Avo Assure:

#### **Navigate to Element Repository window** 

Select **Repository** from left pane of screen to import, click **Import** icon from the top right pane of Element Repository window.

#### Choose file and import

Click Choose File button and select Json file from the local machine, then click import button to import in Repository

#### Save the file

Click Save button located at top right corner

### Export Repository&#x20;

The Export Elements function is used to retrieve elements from the element repository and save them to a local machine or directly export them into a new project for future reference or backup.&#x20;

Step-by-step process to export element repository in Avo Assure:&#x20;

Navigate to Element Repository window&#x20;

Click Export button and exported file will be saved in downloads folder in machine

### Information Panel of Repository&#x20;

Navigate to Element Repository window&#x20;

Click **eye** (Open Information) symbol from top right pane to get the element details&#x20;
