# Execute File

The Execute File action in the Avo Assure is found under the **@Generic Element** is used to fetch the given input file that will be executed automatically, and save the result in dynamic variable.

### **Syntax**

**Input Value :** `<Filepath>`&#x20;

| ----------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------- |
| <p>\<FilePath></p><p>(Required)</p> | Specify the path of the file that needs to be executed. |

**Execute a specified file**\

The **Execute File** action launches or runs a specified file (e.g., an executable **.exe**, **script**, or **batch file**) located at the given file path (e.g., **C:\Users\sammed.durge\Downloads\guidde-windows.exe**). The outcome of the execution is stored in the **{Execution Result}** variable, with the following possible values:

* **True** –  if the file is executed successfully
* **False** – if the file is not found or execution fails
