Creating a Test Case in SAP CloudALM

Once the project is created, you must add test cases in it to map with Avo Assure for automated testing.

  1. Navigate to the Home page of SAP Cloud ALM by clicking the SAP icon on the top left corner

  2. Click on the Search icon

  3. Look for the Test Preparation section in the Search Box and select it from the drop-down list

  4. Update the following under the Standard section to create test cases, once the Test Preparation window appears:

    • Choose your project under the Project section from the drop-down list

    • Search for your existing test case by clicking on Search by title search box

    • Define the Scope of your project - select the SAP Cloud ALM feature relevant to your project (For example, SCOPE_01_S/4HANA OP IMPLEMENTATION)

    • Select the Solution Process and Solution Process Flow Diagram, applicable to your SAP product (For example, Accounting and Financial Close (J58) )

    • Add Tags and Test Plan per the application role

    • Select the Status of your project as Prepared or In Preparation

    • Select the Automation Provider as Avo Assure to map it with Avo Agent for execution

  5. Create test cases by clicking on the Create button; the window will split into two sections. On the right side, fill in the details of your new test case under the New Test Case section

  6. Select Manual or Automatic as the Automation Type from the drop-down list for the type of testing you want to perform

    • For Automated Automation Type, select the Title of the test case, Scope, Solution Process, and Solution Process Flow Diagram from where to perform testing, and then click Save

    • For Manual Automation Type, select the Title of the test case, Scope, Solution Process, and Country/Region from where to perform testing, and then click Save button.

Test case created successfully !

  1. Navigate to the Testcases section to see your created test cases and click on the Test \case to view its details
