Test case Creation

A Test case is collection of test steps used by testers to determine the smooth and right operation of a feature or program. Test case also includes each step and condition required for execution.

Test Case Creation

Step-by-step process to create Test case and Test steps group in Avo Assure: 

1. Click Design Studio button from the top right pane of landing page, click Test cases tab to bring up Test case window

2. Click Create Folder button and name the folder

3. Click Create Test case button and name the Test case

4. Click Create Test step Group button to bring up New Test step Group pop up window

   Note: Test step group is the combination of elements and test steps

Enter Test Step Group name in Test step Group Name textbox and click Create button

5. Click Add from repository button to bring up Element Repository in left pane of screen

Drag and drop the required repository

1. Click Save button located in top right corner

1. Select Test step and click Copy icon located in top right pane of screen

1. Select the desired Test step and click Paste icon from the top right pane of screen

Import Test Steps

Navigate to Test cases window and create Test case

1. Select Test step group by expanding the folder located in left pane of the screen and click import icon

2. Click Choose File button, select Json file from your system and click Import button.

Export Test Steps

1. Select Test step group by expanding the folder located in left pane of the screen and click Export icon

2. Click Export button and exported file will be saved in downloads folder in local machine  

Information panel & Tag Test cases

Step-by-step process to view details of test steps in Test case:

Navigate to Test cases window

1. Select Test step Group by expanding the folder located in left pane of the screen, click eye (open information) icon to get the Test step details

2. Test case description: It contains additional information about Test cases

   Audit Logs: It contains basic information about the Test cases, like the date and time of creation, create and edit details of the test cases, and the date and time of modification.

   Tag a Test cases

   The Tag a Test case functionality helps users to tag test cases for easy identification like Grouping the test case and further streamlining the selection of Test cases for execution configurations. 

   Step-by-step process to tag Test case in Avo Assure:

   Navigate to Test cases window and open information panel, Click +New tag to tag as Test case in test step group
