# Send value

This is a pre-built action located under the **Mainframe List Element**. The functionality of this action in Avo Assure is to send value to the mainframe.

### Syntax

**Input Value:** `<input value>` &#x20;

**Output Value:**

**Example**

**Performs sending of input text to the mainframe screen**

The **Send value** action takes the value from the Input Value column (e.g., **CICS1**) and sends the specified text to the focused field on the emulator screen.
