Capture element for OEBS Web applications

When selecting OEBS Web as application type, follow the steps below:

Name the Repository with logical name click Capture Element button, then select a Browser and click Capture button to bring up Avo Assure Client pop up.

After clicking Capture button, Element identifier Pops up. Enter the URL in Enter URL field and click on Navigate button to get directed to OEBS Application.

Visible: This method captures visible elements in the OEBS application by selecting appropriate element capture types from the dropdown

All: This enables capturing all elements in the OEBS, including hidden elements regardless of their capture type.

Manual: This method allows capturing elements manually by navigating to the OEBS.

Delay: This method works for elements that have longer loading time in the OEBS, such as alert popups, hence this option specifies a certain amount of time for these elements to load before capturing them.

Here the captured elements are displayed in the element identifier window before saving them to the element repository.

Select the elements shown in the elements list and move them to the element repository by clicking on the Add button.

The properties of each element are visible, allowing users to easily analyse and prioritize them.

Element Property: When we capture elements, it will display all their attributes along with their values such as locators, providing users with clear insight and helping prioritize the elements.

To automate OEBS Desktop we need to download the Sales Orders

Steps to capture element in OEBS

When selecting OEBS Desktop as application type, follow the steps below:

There are 3 ways in which Element Repositories can be created

1. Using the + icon across the Element Repositories folder

2. Clicking the View more (...) icon across an Element folder

3. Using the shortcut Shift + E+O on the keyboard

Name the Repository with logical name and click Capture Element button to bring up Avo Assure Client pop up

Note: Desktop Application of OEBS should be running in foreground to capture elements

Enter Window Name in the Enter OEBS Window Name textbox and click Launch button to get directed to the window
