Module Locking Functionality

Why was this developed?

In the previous version of the Avo Assure, there was a conflict when two users were using the same project and module simultaneously. The screen had an issue if both users used the same module. To address this issue, the Avo Assure team created a module locking feature.

What is the Goal?

The Avo Assure team has developed the Module Locking Functionality, which is a read-only view for the user, and ensures that the other user uses the module.

How does it look?

How does it work?

  1. The user has to navigate to the Avo Assure home screen.

  2. The user has to select the required project from the Project list.

  3. The user has to click the Design Studio button, and the Design Studio window will be displayed.

  4. The user can only view the module used by the other user.

  5. A warning toast message will be displayed if the user clicks the testcase icon.

  6. The user has to click the Capture Elements button, and the Capture Elements window will be displayed.

  7. The user can only view the captured elements. Note: There is no access to the other user to edit and capture the elements.

  8. The user has to click the Design Test Steps button, and the Design Test Steps window will be displayed.

  9. The user can only view the designed test steps. Note: There is no access to the other user to design the test steps.

  10. If the user-1 switches to another test suite or new project, then the user-2 can work / Edit on the locked module.

How can I get this?

If the user upgrades to the latest version of Avo Assure to 23.1.6, this feature will be available automatically.
