16. Delete Scenario / Screen / Testcase from DataBase

Why was this developed?

The user could not create a module, scenario, screen, or test case with the given name if it has been used historically (previous version of the Avo Assure). This was because those deleted entities were not permanently deleted from the database.

How does it work?

If the user has reused screens or test cases, the system will delete them from the selected scenario or the entire project, depending on their preferred option.Note:

  • Delete functionality is enabled for both UI and Database.

  • The user can delete only Testcase, Screen, and Scenario level functionality.

  • Mindmap delete will only be available when a user creates a mindmap and wants to remove the scenario, screen, and test cases from the mindmap.

  1. The user has to click the design button from Avo Assure Home Page.

  1. The user has to click the Scenario button, and the Scenario Context menu will display. Click the Delete button.

  1. The delete Confirmation window will display if the user clicks to delete the Not Reused nor End To End Flow scenario. Note: If the user clicks the Everywhere button, the system will delete the selected scenario, as well as the screens and test cases associated with it, from both the UI and the database.

  1. The delete Confirmation window will display if the user clicks to delete Reused Screens and Test cases scenario.

Note:

  • If the user clicks the Delete EveryWhere button, the system will delete the scenario, reused screens, and Test cases used everywhere from both UI and Database.

  • If the user clicks the Delete Current button, the selected reused Scenario, screens, and test cases will Delete only from the UI.

  1. The delete Confirmation window will display if the user clicks to delete the End To End Flow scenario.

  1. If the user clicks to delete Reused Screens and Test cases and End To End Flow scenario, the delete Confirmation window will display, as shown below.

Note:

  • If the user clicks the Delete Everywhere button, the system will delete the reused scenario, screens, and test cases used in End To End flow everywhere from both UI and Database.

  • If the user clicks the Delete Current button, the selected reused scenario, screens, and test cases will delete only from the UI.

  1. The user has to click the Screen button. The Screen Context menu will display. Click the Delete button.

  1. The delete Confirmation window will display if the user clicks to delete the Not Reused nor End To End Flow screen. Note: If the user clicks the Yes button, the system will delete the selected Screen and the test cases falling under the screen from both UI and database.

  1. The delete Confirmation window will display if the user clicks to delete Reused Screens and Test cases screen.

Note:

  • If the user clicks the Delete Everywhere button, the system will delete the reused screens and Test cases used everywhere from both UI and Database.

  • If the user clicks the Delete Current button, the selected reused screens and test cases will Delete only from the UI.

  1. The user has to click the Test Case button. The Test case Context Menu will display. Click the Delete Testcase button.

  1. The delete Confirmation window will display If the user clicks to delete the Not Reused nor End To End Flow test case. Note: If the user clicks the Yes button, the system will delete the selected test case from both UI and database.

  1. The delete Confirmation window will display if the user clicks to delete Reused Screens and Test cases.

Note:

  • If the user clicks the Delete Everywhere button, the system will delete the reused test cases used everywhere from both UI and Database.

  • If the user clicks the Delete Current button, the selected reused test cases will Delete only from the UI.

How can I get this?

If the user upgrades to the latest version of Avo Assure to 23.1.0, this feature will be available automatically.
