Avo Assure Lifecycle

Navigating through the Product Life Cycle: From Introduction to Retirement

Avo Assure is designed to align seamlessly with the software testing life cycle, ensuring comprehensive coverage and reliability at every stage. Once an application under test is thoroughly analyzed and the requirements are clearly understood, the subsequent steps can be efficiently carried out using Avo Assure. These steps include designing a detailed test flow that adheres to the specified requirements, authoring test cases that ensure all functional and non-functional aspects are covered, and finally, executing these tests to validate the application's functionality. By utilizing Avo Assure, teams can streamline their testing processes, enhance test accuracy, and ensure robust application performance.

Comprehensive Steps for Application Testing

Avo Assure Lifecycle
  • Project: The project aims to facilitate software testing in Avo Assure. Before testing an application, you must first create a project in Avo Assure.

  • Element Repository: The Element Repository feature offers a centralized location for users to access and manage elements from the tested application. You must use the element repository to build your project, enabling a more efficient testing process by capturing elements directly from there.

  • Avo Genius: Avo Genius is a smart recorder that helps users create test cases automatically as the user navigates through web applications. It is an alternate way using which you can capture elements quickly and with minimum efforts.

  • Design Studio: The Design Studio feature enables users to create Mindmaps, capture elements, and manage Test cases for the application under test. Here, you must design your test flow based on your requirements.

  • Mindmaps: Avo Assure simplifies creating detailed test flows with its Mindmaps plugin. It provides four unique views: Tree View, Journey View, Folder View, and Table View. The test flow is organized into four categories sequentially: Test Suite, Test Cases, Screens, and Test Steps. You must build a mind map that fits your requirements only, and then you can proceed with testing.

  • Debug: As the name suggests debug enables debugging the Test Steps using the Avo Assure Client. Once confirmed to be error-free, you can proceed to the next phase and execute the designed Test Steps.

  • Execute: Execute enables creating exclusive configuration profile and generate report after debugging the design Test Steps and performing tests. You can perform execution once the Test Steps are confirmed to be error free.

  • Avo Assure Client: The Interactive Compiler Environment (ICE) is a tool for debugging and executing test cases. ICE is required to capture elements using the Element Repository.

  • Reports: On execution of a test flow, Avo Assure provides inbuilt Reports and a Dashboard. You must review the detailed reports to thoroughly assess the results and performance metrics obtained from your recent software testing procedures.
