Mapping Test Cases

Mapping test cases to Jira user stories ensures all requirements are tested and provides clear traceability between features and their verification. It helps track test coverage and simplifies defect management.

Types of Mapping

You can map the test cases using the following mapping methods:

  • One-to-One Mapping: This refers to mapping a single Avo Assure test case to a single Zephyr Scale test case.

Mapping a Test Case

To map a test case, perform the following actions:

  1. From the Jira Project dropdown, select the required Jira project.

  2. From the Jira Boards dropdown, select the required Jira Board.

  3. From the Jira Work Items dropdown, select the required Jira Work Item.

  1. On the Mapping tab, open the required Avo Test Case folder, and then select the required Test Case.

Note: You can also search for Avo Test Cases by entering Test Case name in the search box.

  1. Go to Please select Jira Work Items. Select the required Work Items.

Note: You can also search for Jira user stories by entering Test Case in the search box.

  1. Select Map Selected Items to start mapping the selected items.

  2. Select Save button. A confirmation message appears.

Note: If you want to close the mapping window, select Close.

Viewing Mapped Test Cases

Viewing mapped test cases helps you to view and manage the test cases that are currently linked between Avo Assure and Jira.

To view a mapped test case, perform the following actions:

  1. After authenticating Avo Assure with Jira, go to the View Mapping tab.

  2. Select View Mapping tab, and you can see all the mapped test cases.

  3. Select Delete icon to unmap the test cases.
