Configuring and Executing Test Cases

Configuring and executing test cases in Avo Assure requires a streamlined approach to ensure efficient test outcomes. As an initial step, you must configure the execution list with the appropriate settings, including test case selection, integration preferences, and defect management options. After the configuration is complete, you can proceed with executing the test cases, allowing Avo Assure to generate detailed reports.

To configure and execute test cases, perform the following actions:

1. Select Design Studio and click on Execution tab.

2. In the left pane, go to Execution, select the + icon, and then select New Folder to create a new folder for execution.

3. Go to the created folder, and then select the More Options (ellipsis) button.

1. Select Create Execution List to create the execution list and rename it. A window opens with the created execution list name.

1. Select Add Test Case. Test Cases window opens.

1. From the Test Cases window, select the required test case, and then drag and drop the test cases into the adjacent window on the right. You can now close the Test Cases window.

1. Select the Delete icon if you want to remove the test case from Execution List.

2. Before execution, you must complete the configuration.

3. On the Configuration window, select Client radio button and select available Avo Assure Client.

4. Expand and select Browsers from their respective dropdown.

1. Expand Test Management tool option and select Zephyr Scale as Test management tool.

1. Select Zephyr Scale Project from the dropdown.

1. Search and select Zephyr Scale Test Cycle.

2. Click Save button.

To Create a Test Cycle, perform the following actions:

This feature can be used when the required Test Cycle is not present in the Zephyr Scale Project, then user can create new Zephyr Scale Test Cycle, by clicking Create Test Cycle button, present in the Zephyr Scale popup window

1. Provide Test Cycle Name in the textbox.

2. Click Create Cycle button to create new Test Cycle in Zephyr Scale Project.

1. Click Save button in the top-right pane of the Execution window to save the configuration.

1. After you complete the configuration, select the parent folder, and then select Execute button. Execute Now pop-up window opens.

1. After verifying the details, select Execute to execute the test cases.

1. After execution user can see the message in Avo Assure Client, like Updated Zephyr Scale details.
