Configuring and Executing Test Cases

Configuring and executing test cases in Avo Assure requires a streamlined approach to ensure efficient test outcomes. As an initial step, you must configure the execution list with the appropriate settings, including test case selection, integration preferences, and defect management options. After the configuration is complete, you can proceed with executing the test cases, allowing Avo Assure to generate detailed reports.

To configure and execute Test cases, perform the following actions:

  1. Create Execution List in Execution tab.

  1. Expand Test Management tool option and select Zephyr Scale as Test management tool.

  1. Select Zephyr Scale Project from the dropdown.

  1. Search and select Zephyr Scale Test Cycle and Click Save button.

To Create a Test Cycle, perform the following actions:

This feature can be used when the required Test Cycle is not present in the Zephyr Scale Project, then user can create new Zephyr Scale Test Cycle, by clicking Create Test Cycle button, present in the Zephyr Scale popup window

  1. Provide Test Cycle Name in the textbox.

  2. Click Create Cycle button to create new Test Cycle in Zephyr Scale Project.

Note: This Test Cycle will be linked to test case in zephyr scale while execution.

  1. Once the Test Cycle is created, it appears in the dropdown and the user can select it for execution.

  1. Click Save button in the top-right pane of the Execution window to save the configuration.

Note: User can also create defect when Test Step Fail at the time of execution by enabling Auto defect Toggle button. Learn more

  1. After user complete the configuration, select the parent folder, and then select Execute button. Execute Now pop-up window opens.

  1. After verifying the details, select Execute to execute the test cases.

Note: If user have already selected Test Management Tool while configuring the execution list then it will auto populated in Execute Now popup window.

  1. After execution, the Avo Assure Client displays the message as Updated Zephyr Scale details, indicating that the execution details are successfully updated in Zephyr Scale.
