verifyButtonName

This is a pre-built Action located under the Custom element. The functionality of this action in Avo Assure to check the name present on the button specified in the input value and save the result in dynamic variable.

Syntax

Input Value: <ObjectType>;<VisibleText(optional)>;<Index>;<Value>;<abs(optional)>

Argument
Description

<ObjectType> (Required)

Specify the type of object (e.g., button)

<VisibleText> (Optional)

Enter the visible text on the object

<Index> (Required)

Provide the index of the object inside the page

<Value> (Required)

Expected button name to verify

<abs> (Optional)

If the abs is provided, the action is performed with absolute identification using the absolute X path

Note: To skip an optional input value, use an extra semicolon (;).

This dynamic variable stores the result of the verification as True or False

Example

Verifies the name of a specified button matches the expected value

The Verify Button Name action takes the value from the Input Value column (e.g., button;;0;Log In) and checks whether the button name matches the expected text. The result of the verification is stored in the {Verify} variable, with the following possible values:

  • True – if the button name matches the expected value.

  • False – if the name does not match
