Get Text of Element
This pre-built Action is located under the @Custom Element,The functionality of this action in Avo Assureto get the text of the element and save the result in the given dynamic variable.
Syntax
Input Value:<Object Type>;<VisibleText(Optional)>;<index>;<abs(optional)>
<Object Type>
(Required)
Specific type of object from which text is to be retrieved.
<VisibleText>
(Optional)
The visible text associated with the object.
<index>
(Required)
Provide the position of the element, which helps to identify the value based on the sequence in list . (starting from 0)
<abs>
(Optional)
If the abs is provided, the action is performed with absolute identification using the absolute X path
Note: if for last argument abs is defined then the Action must be executed with absolute preformation with the specified absolute X path in the input.
To skip an optional input value, use an extra semicolon (;).
Output Value
<Dynamic Variable> (Required)
This variable holds the extracted text of the element.
<Dynamic Variable> (Optional)
This variable stores the status of the action as True or False
Example 1
Extracts the visible text from a specified object using the defined identification parameters
The Get Text of Element action takes the value from the Input Value column (e.g., button;;0) and retrieves the visible text content of the matching object based on the object type and index. The extracted text is stored in the {Text} variable, while the execution status is stored in the {Status} variable, with the following possible values:
True – if the text is fetched successfully.
False – if the text retrieval fails.

Example 2
Extracts the visible text from a specified object using the Optional parameter
The Get Text of Element action takes the value from the Input Value column (e.g.,button;Click Me;0;//*[@id="oTN9K"]) and retrieves the visible text content of the matching object based on the object type, visible text, index and abs. The extracted text is stored in the {Text} variable, while the execution status is stored in the {Status} variable, with the following possible values:
True – if the text is fetched successfully.
False – if the text retrieval fails.
