Drop File On the Object
This is pre-built Action located under the @Custom Element. The functionality of this action in Avo Assure to drop a file on the object specified in the input by providing the file path from the local system and store the result in dynamic variable.
Syntax:
Input Value: <ObjectType>;<VisibleText(optional)>;<Index>;<FilePath>;<FileName>;<abs(optional)>
<ObjectType>
(Rquired)
Specify the type of object (e.g., Drop Area, Button)
<VisibleText> (Operational)
Enter the visible text on the object
<Index> (Required)
Provide the index of the object inside the page
<FilePath> (Required)
Path to the folder containing the file to be dropped
<FileName> (Required)
Name of the file to be dropped
<abs> (Optional
If the abs is provided, the action is performed with absolute identification using the absolute X path
Note: If the abs argument is specified, then the action will be executed with absolute performance based on the given visible text.
To skip an optional input value, use an extra semicolon (;).
Output Value
<Dynamic Variable>(Optional);<Dynamic Variable>(Optional)
This dynamic variable stores the result of the verification as True or False
Example
Performs a file drop operation on a specified object in the application interface
The Drop File On the Object action takes the value from the Input Value column (e.g., div;;0;C:\Documents\Reports;Report_Q2.pdf) and drops the given file onto the specified object. The result of the drop operation is stored in the {Drop file} variable, with the following possible values:
True – if the file is dropped successfully.
False – if the drop fails.
