What is Reusable Library

The reusable library in Avo Assure is automatically included in every test case of a project and serves as a storage for test step groups, which can be accessed whenever needed by the user.

We use the reusable library in every test case of a project because it is automatically included by default and acts as a storage for test step groups, allowing users to access them whenever needed.

Ways to Create Reusable Library

There are two ways to create reusable libraries

  1. Creating a test step group

  2. Using the Make Reusable button

Creating a test step group

  1. Click on the three dots(...) beside the Reusable Library.

  2. Click Create Reused Steps Groups. From the drop down select your preferred choice.

  1. A reusable test step group will be created. Choose preferred method to add the steps.

  1. Once Test steps are added. Click Save.

Using the Make Reusable button

  1. Navigate to Test cases window, select Test step Group by expanding the folder located in left pane of the screen

  2. Click on the Test step. In the right panel. Click Make Reusable option

  1. A Confirmation pop-up will appear. Select "Yes".

  1. This test step will be added in the Reusable library section. Click Save.

Detaching Reusable library from Test Case

Below are the steps to detach Reusable library from test Case:

  1. Select Test step Group created by you. In the right panel, Click Remove.

  1. This Test step Group will be detached from the Reusable library

Note:

  1. User can also delete the Test Step Group from Reusable library by clicking on the three dots beside the test step group and selecting Delete option.

  1. Users cannot edit the Test Step Group at the folder level if it is in the reusable library. It can only be edited directly from the Reusable Library.
