LDAP Configuration
LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) Configuration
The LDAP configuration feature in Avo Assure helps users streamline the login process and enhance security for the service provider’s platform by minimizing reliance on traditional password-based systems.
The steps to follow to configure the authentication of a selected Module in Avo Assure with LDAP Configuration are:
Navigate to the Admin section on the left pane of the landing page
Navigate to Authentication Configuration and select LDAP Configuration
Enter the Server name, Base Domain name, Username, and Password of the Bind Principal in the LDAP Configuration window
Choose the secure connection radio SSL: for example, here Disable radio button is chosen from the Enable, Disable and Enable Insecure options
Select the authentication type as Anonymous or Simple (For the Anonymous configuration the user needs to provide bind principal and bind credentials), and upload the TLS certificate if the secure connection is enabled
When setting up authentication, users can choose between anonymous or single authentication. For single authentication, user will need to provide a bind principal and bind credentials. With anonymous authentication, there is need to provide these credentials
Clicking the Test Button will auto-populate the dropdowns for the following fields: Username, First Name, Last Name, and Email
Click the Create button after providing the inputs
Edit and Delete LDAP Configuration
To edit LDAP Configuration in Avo Assure, follow the steps below:
Login to Avo Assure using valid credentials
Navigate to the Admin section on the left pane of the landing page
Navigate to Authentication Configuration and select LDAP Configuration
Click Edit button to enable editing in the LDAP Configuration page
Select the server from the dropdown and edit the required parameters
Click Update button to update the LDAP configuration details in Avo Assure
Click Delete button to delete the LDAP configuration details in Avo Assure
