The User Interface
User interface of Avo Assure
The User Interface is grouped as below:
- 1.Header – The header is consistent across all screens and consists of:
- 1.The Avo Assure Logo – Clicking on the logo takes the user to the Avo Assure landing page.
- 2.Alerts – Displays notifications if any. E.g. New task notification.
- 3.Switch Role – Allows the user to switch between different user profiles and perform the tasks at hand.
- 4.User Profile – Clicking on the user icon shows:
- 1.User Role – Displays the role of the currently logged-in user. E.g., Test Lead
- 2.Download ICE – Downloads the latest version of the ICE (Intelligent Core Engine) component.
- 3.Settings – To manage the settings specific to the user. For detailed information on Settings, refer here.
- 4.Logout

2. Action Bar – The space for the buttons of the ‘must do’ actions for a particular feature.
3. Workspace – The space to perform the main tasks. E.g., Creation of Mindmaps, identifying objects, authoring, execution, etc.
4. Reference Bar – The space for buttons that can be used for reference or to act upon, if needed. E.g., Task list, project information, screenshots, etc.

5. Footer - The User can view the web server version of the Avo Assure product in footer section.

Home Page
The landing page consists of:
- 1.Plugins Section: The plugins section provides you with a view of all the available plugins. Clicking on the plugins takes you to the respective plugin page.

2. Task Pane:
- 1.The task pane shows the list of active tasks available to the user.
- 1.The 'To Do’ tab consists of active tasks that a user needs to do.
- 2.The ‘To Review’ tab consists of active tasks that a reviewer needs to review.
- 2.The active tasks displayed are labeled as Execution or Design tasks. Clicking on the label, displays the details of the task.

To update the user-specific details:
- 1.Log in to Avo Assure. From the ‘User Profile’, click on ‘Settings'.

2. The ‘Edit User’ section will be displayed. Here, the first name, last name, and email ID of the user can be specified.
3. If the user password has to be updated, check the ‘Change Password’ checkbox. On selection of the ‘Change Password’ checkbox, the fields of ‘Old Password’, ‘New Password’, and ‘Confirm’ will be enabled to update.

4. Click on the ‘Update’ button to update the user details.
The user can generate tokens for self in this section.
- 1.Log in to Avo Assure. From the ‘User Profile’, click on ‘Settings’.

2. Click on the ‘Tokens’ icon from the action bar. Here, the user can generate tokens for self, deactivate active tokens and view the already generated token details associated with the user in the ‘CI Tokens’ section.

3. Fill in the following details and click on the ‘Generate’ button.
- Token name
- Token Expiry date and time
4. Token will be created and the list in the 'CI Tokens' sections will be updated.
5. The generated token should be copied or downloaded as it will not be displayed again. Its hash will be stored in the database.
6. To deactivate a token, hover on the token entry and click on the ‘Deactivate’ button.
The user can re-provision, re-register and change the default ICE for self in this section.
- 1.Log in to Avo Assure, from the ‘User Profile’, click on ‘Settings'.

2. Click on the ‘ICE Provisioning’ icon from the action bar.

3. If no ICE is connected, then the Default ICE field will display ‘No Default ICE'.

4. All ICE that belong to the user will be displayed in the ICE Provisioning list.

5. To set an ICE as the 'default ICE', select the desired ICE from the list of ICE displayed by clicking on the radio button associated with the ICE.
6. If any ICE is not connected, then its selection will be disabled for ‘Default ICE’.
7. If only a single ICE is connected, then it will be set as the ‘Default ICE’ automatically.
8. On selection of a connected ICE, the default ICE will be set to the selected ICE.

9. To re-provision/ re-register the ICE, hover on the selected ICE entry in the ICE list, and click on the ‘Re-provision/Re-register’ button.

Reprovisioning/Registering ICE
The user can view the details of projects that they are assigned to.
- 1.Log in to Avo Assure, from the ‘User Profile’, click on ‘Settings'.

2. Click on the ‘Project’ icon from the action bar.
3. Select the project from the ‘Project’ dropdown to view the project details.

The user can create, edit and delete Git Configurations for projects that they are assigned to.
- 1.Login to Avo Assure, from the ‘User Profile’, click on ‘Settings’.

2. Click on the ‘Git Configuration’ icon from the action bar.
3. On this screen, the user can specify the required details for the creation of Git configuration for any assigned project to them.

4. To edit/ delete an existing Git configuration, click on the ‘Edit’ button.
5. Select the required project to either update its associated Git configuration or delete it.
The user can create (save) and delete (clear saved) Jira Configuration to be used to log issues in the Avo Assure reports.
- 1.Log in to Avo Assure. From the ‘User Profile’, click on ‘Settings’.

2. Click on the ‘Jira Configuration’ icon from the action bar.
3. On this section, the user can specify the Jira URL, the Jira Username and the Jira API key, required for the logging issues in the generated Avo Assure reports. Refer here.

4. To delete the existing (saved) Jira configuration, click on the ‘Delete’ button.
The user can create (save) and delete (clear saved) Zephyr Configuration to be used to validate the Zephyr login process during integrations between the Zephyr test cases and the Avo Assure scenarios.
- 1.Log in to Avo Assure. From the ‘User Profile’, click on ‘Settings’.

2. Click on the ‘Zephyr Configuration’ icon from the action bar.
3. On this screen, the user can specify the Zephyr authentication type, the Zephyr URL, the Zephyr Username and the Zephyr Password/Token (depending on the authentication type). This data will be used to authenticate the Zephyr login process during the integration of Zephyr test cases and Avo Assure scenarios. Refer here.

4. To delete the existing (saved) Zephyr configuration, click on the ‘Delete’ button.
