This document outlines the steps to create a Cloud ALM project
Ensure you have an SAP Cloud ALM project ready to map with Avo Assure for enhanced testing.
Go to the Home page of SAP Cloud ALM by clicking the SAP icon on the top left corner
Click on the Search icon
Look for the Projects and Setup page in the Search Box and select it from the drop-down list
Click on the Create button to create a new project, under the Manage Projects section of the Projects and Setup page; the page splits in half, displaying the New Project form on the right
Complete the General Information section by filling in the following details
Your Project name that you are currently working on. (For example,
Migration_Build SNP
)
Status of your project - whether it is On Track, Needs Attention, or is in Critical state.
Project Leads - Team members actively working on the project
Integration with Central Business Configuration (Completely Optional). A Project in SAP Cloud ALM can be connected to multiple Projects in SAP Central Business Configuration.
Select SAP Activate Roadmap from the drop-down list of pre-delivered roadmaps for specific SAP projects. SAP Activate Roadmap is SAP's recommended implementation method for SAP Products. It includes deliverables for each phase, task descriptions, and accelerators like templates, examples, guides, or links to help customers implement efficiently. (For example,
SAP S/4HANA (on-premise) - New Implementation
)
Current Phase of your project, i.e. Prepare, Explore, Realise, Deploy or Run.
Choose the appropriate Access Level: Public, Restricted, or Private based on your requirements. This helps manage project access for team members.
Current Quality Gates based on the current phase of your project. Quality Gates are checkpoints in project management and software development to ensure specific quality criteria are met before moving to the next stage. (For example,
QG0 - Project Preparation
)
