Encryption Utilities in Avo Assure

Data Encryption is the process of safeguarding data by encoding it to ensure only authorized parties can decipher or decode it.

Data Encryption transforms plaintext into ciphertext, making it unreadable without the appropriate key. This is crucial for protecting private or confidential data, guaranteeing its accessibility only to the authorized recipients.

Encryption Methods in Avo Assure

The Encryption method available in the Avo Assure is called as Advanced Encryption Standard (AES)

Advanced Encryption Standard	AES is a symmetric encryption algorithm used to secure data. AES is specific to protecting electronic data such as Wi-Fi networks and cloud applications.

Using the Avo Assure encryption function any alphanumerical characters and special characters can be encrypted.

The step-by-step process to access the encryption function from the landing page are:

1. Click Utilities from the left-hand panel of Avo Assure’s landing page.

2. Select the desired encryption method from the Select Method dropdown in the Encryption tab.

3. Enter the data you want to encrypt in the textbox and click the Encrypt button

4. Copy the encrypted data obtained, and click the Avo logo at the upper-left corner to navigate back to the home screen

5. Select the project, click Design Studio, and select the Test Suite to navigate to a representation of the Mindmap

6. Click the Test Step and select Design Test Steps

7. Update the encrypted data in the Input field of the Design Test Steps pop-up for the Test Step designed using Set Secure Text as the keyword

8. Click Debug in the upper panel, and select the browser from the popup, and click Debug again This will open the selected browser, navigate to the URL, enter the encrypted credentials, and complete all the Design Test Steps.
