Generate TestRail API Token

Now that you know about TestRail and Avo Assure integration, let's go through the steps to generate API token in TestRail

Overview

An API Token is a unique identifier used to authenticate requests made to an application programming interface (API) like TestRail's. API Tokens can be generated in TestRail by navigating to My Settings.

The steps to generate API Token in TestRail are:

TestRail Configuration in Avo Assure

The steps to configure TestRail is Avo Assure are:

Step 1

Login to Avo Assure using valid credentials > Click Settings tab from landing page of Avo Assure > Click Manage Integrations button this will navigate to Manage Integration window

Note: Select Save the credentials checkbox  in case working on TestRail integration is frequently required

Step 2

Select the Tool Based Integration tab > Click TestRail icon from the left side pane > Enter Username, API Token and TestRail URL > Click Login button

Step 3

Once credentials are successfully configured a toast message is displayed ‘The TestRail configuration was successfully created’
