21. Import and Export of Mindmap in Avo Assure
Why was this developed?
In the previous version of Avo Assure, the user could not reuse any existing test data (e.g., ‘mindmap’, object repository, test steps, etc.) for any new project. With the new changes, User can export and import the mindmaps to other projects as well.Note: It is applicable only for the new Project.

How does it work?
The user has to click the Design button from the Avo Assure home screen, as shown below. Note: It is applicable only for the new Project.
The Design window will display as shown below.
The user has to select the project from the Project Drop-down, as shown below. Note: The Modules which are present in the project will be displayed.
The user has to select the required number of modules to export, and the user has to click the Export button, as shown below. Note: The user can select multiple modules by checking the Select All Modules check box.
Export Mindmap window will display, as shown below.
The user has to select the Export To File radio button from export mindmap window, as shown below. Note: The user can Export the Module in the required format as mentioned below. a) Structure only - Custom (.json) b) Structure only – Excel (.xsx, .xslx) c) Complete Module(s) (.mm)
The user has to select export format from Select Export Format drop-down as shown below.
The user has to enter the file name in the File Name box, and click the Export button, as shown below.
The system will display toast message as shown below. Note: The exported module will be downloaded in the downloads folder.
The user has to click the + (Add) icon, click the Import Module button, as shown below.
Import Modules window will be displayed as shown below.
Select the import form from Select Import Format box, as shown below
The user has to select Structure only – Excel (.xls, .xlsx) to import excel format, as shown below.
The user has to select .xlx or .xlsx file from the system folder.
The user has to click the Choose File button, as shown below.
The system will display a folder location, select the file from the folder location, and click the Open button, as shown below.
The user has to select the project from the Select Project drop-down, as shown below.
The user has to select sheet from Please Select Sheet drop-down, as shown below.
The user has to click the Import button, as shown below.
The user has to select Complete Module(s) (.mm) to import module format, as shown below.
The user has to select project from the Select Project drop-down, as shown below.
The user must select an Empty Module project. If not, the system will display an error, as shown below.
The user has to select .mm file from the system folder.
The user has to click the Choose File button, as shown below.
The system will display a folder location, select the file from the folder location, and click the Open button, as shown below.
The user has to click the Import button, as shown below.
The system will display a toast message, as shown below.
The user has to select Structure only – Selenium To Avo (.sel) to import selenium format, as shown below.
The user has to select .sel file from the system folder.
The user has to click the Choose File button, as shown below.
The system will display a folder location, select the file from the folder location, and click the Open button, as shown below.
The user has to select project from Select Project drop-down as shown below.
The user has to click the Import button, as shown below.
The system will display a toast message, as shown below.
How can I get this?
If the user upgrades to the latest version of Avo Assure to 23.1.0, this feature will be available automatically.
