Bitbucket Commit/Push
Now let's understand the steps to perform commit and push action in Bitbucket.
To commit and push action in Bitbucket, state by login to Avo Assure application. After successful login navigate to the Avo Assure landing page to get the list of all available projects.
1. Select the Project
Select the project for commit or push changes from all Project section This ensures updates to be applied to the correct project.
Click Design Studio button to access the created Mindmap for the project. Click Bitbucket button
2. Access the Bitbucket Configuration
After clicking Bitbucket button from top pane of Design Studio, it will display a Bitbucket Configuration window with the auto-filled data of the selected project.
Once the entered data is verified or reset, navigate back to the Mindmap.
3. Select Commit from the Dropdown Menu
Select Commit from the dropdown menu with Bitbucket logo present in the top menu. Choose Commit from this menu to initiate the commit process.
This will prompt to a new window. Enter the version name in the Enter Version Name text box. Provide a meaningful version name that reflects the made changes.
4. Select Modules to Commit
Select the module that needs to be commit from the list of available modules.
Note: Multiple modules can be chosen if more than one module is required to commit.
Once selected, click (>) arrow icon to proceed to the next step.
Next, enter comment regarding the commit in the Enter Your Comment text box.
This message should provide a summary of the changes or the purpose of the commit.
Click Commit & Push button to execute the commit and push action.
A toast message ‘Test Suite(s) pushed to bit’ will confirm that the Test Suite(s) and changes have been successfully pushed to Bitbucket.
5. Verify the Push
Note: After completing the process, it’s advisable to log into your Bitbucket repository to verify the commit.
Login to bitbucket repository then navigate to the project to verify that the changes are in the commit history.
