Creating Elements Manually
To create an element manually, perform the following actions:
On the Home page, under Projects, select the required Project.
Select Design Studio. In the Element Repository page, locate the Create Folder (+) icon.

Select Create Folder (+) icon and select Create new folder to create a new folder for element repository. A new folder is created.
Note: To create a new parent folder in the Element Repository, select the workspace (blank space), and select the Create Folder (+) icon.

In the New Folder text box, enter the element repository folder name.
In the newly created folder, select Ellipsis (...) icon > Create Repository > Web to create the repository.
Note: You can select any application type based on your AUT.

Select the Create Manually to create elements manually.

Note:
If user is adding elements for the first time, the screen will appear as shown above, for an existing repository, users can add elements to the list by clicking the Add Element button in the top-right corner. Please refer image on step 7
On Avo Assure, users can manually create elements only for Web and Desktop applications.
Create Element window will pop up. Add the Element Name and Select the Element type from drop- down.
Note:
Element Name is the element that you want to capture from the application under test.
Element type can be checkbox, button, Image etc.

Enter the URL of the application under test
Enter details of Relative Xpath, Query Selector and Absolute Xpath.
Note: It is mandatory to mention the link in URL field. User can choose to enter the details in any of the three fields from remaining.
Once done. Click on Submit.
Element will be created in the Repository with a manual button
. User can edit this element using the edit and delete option.
Mapping Manual Elements
Click on tools and select Map Element

On Replace custom element pop up , Under manually created element, Click arrow to expand textbox. user can use drag and drop elements from left to right side to map it.

Click submit. The elements will be mapped.
Note: This feature was earlier enabled for web, but it now supports desktop as well.
