Creating Recovery Steps
This section guides you through creating Recovery steps in the Test Case page. It explains how to define recovery steps that are executed during failures to ensure consistent test execution.
In the Test Case page, we can create recovery steps at three levels.
Folder Level
Sub Folder Level
Test case Level
Folder Level
To create Recovery steps at the folder level in the Test Case page, perform the following actions:
On the Home page, under Projects, select the required Project.
Select Design Studio. Select the Test Case page.
In the Test Case page, locate the Create Folder (+) icon.
Select Create Folder (+) icon and select Create new folder to create a new folder for Test case. A new folder is created.

In the New Folder text box, enter the Test case folder name.
In the newly created folder, select Ellipsis (...) icon.
Select the Create Recovery to create recovery steps for folder level.

You can see the newly created recovery steps for the folder level.

Sub Folder Level
To create Recovery steps at the sub folder level in the Test Case page, perform the following actions:
The initial setup for the sub folder level follows the same process as the folder level (Steps 1–5). After completing those steps, you can create recovery steps at the sub folder level as described below.
In the newly created folder, select Ellipsis (...) icon.
Select the Create Folder. A sub folder is created.

In the New Folder text box, enter the sub folder name.
In the newly created sub folder, select Ellipsis (...) icon, and locate the Create Recovery option.
Select the Create Recovery to create recovery steps for sub folder level.

You can see the newly created recovery steps for the sub folder level.

Test case Level
To create Recovery steps at the Test case level in the Test Case page, perform the following actions:
The initial setup for the Test case level follows the same process as the sub folder level (Steps 1–4). After completing those steps, you can create recovery steps at the Test case level as described below.
In the newly created sub folder, select Ellipsis (...) icon, and locate the Create Test case option.
Select the Create Test case. A new Test case is created.

In the New Testcase text box, enter the Test case name.
In the newly created Test case, select Ellipsis (...) icon.
Select the Create Recovery to create recovery steps for the Test case level.

7. You can see the newly created recovery steps for the Test case level.
