Re-usability

Why was this developed?

The Reusable Libraries feature was developed to improve efficiency and consistency in testing within Assure. It enables users to transform test cases into reusable components, both at the test case level. By reducing redundancy and promoting the use of pre-defined libraries across multiple test scenarios, this feature saves time and ensures standardization, streamlining the testing process.

What is the goal?

The goal of developing the Reusability feature is to streamline the testing process by minimizing redundancy and promoting efficiency. By allowing users to create reusable components at both the test case levels, it ensures consistent testing standards. This feature helps save time and effort while enabling users to leverage pre-defined libraries across various test scenarios, resulting in a more efficient and standardized approach to testing.

How does this work?

Note: When users are reusing something, if user are making changes in the parent folder, the changes will get reflected in the child folder also.

Reusability for Test case:

1. The user has to click on the Reuse button from the test case screen.

2. The user has to click on the Reusable Libraries that user can reuse that test case from that folder.

3. To reuse the test case in new test step group user, need to select which test case they want to reuse.

4. Select reusable test step from dropdown.

5. The user has to click on the create button.

How can I get this?

If the user upgrades to the latest version of Avo Assure to 24.2.0, this feature will be available automatically.
