Pushing Data to Bitbucket Repository

Push method

The Push method in Avo Assure is used to send the latest test artifacts to the Bitbucket repository. It is typically used in the following scenarios:

  • Creating new test artifacts such as Element Repository, Test Cases, Data Tables, or Execution Lists.

  • Updating or modifying existing test artifacts to save the latest version in Bitbucket.

  • Sharing updated test artifacts with the team through Bitbucket.

  • Maintaining version history of automation assets for safety and traceability.

From Avo Assure, following data types can be uploaded or pushed and different versions maintained in Bitbucket:

  • Element Repository

  • Test Case

  • Data Table

  • Execution List

Pushing Test Cases to Bitbucket Repository

To push Test cases to Bitbucket Repository, perform the following actions:

Note: The steps below are the same for all artifacts. Users just need to navigate to the respective artifact window, select the required data or parent folder, and then push it.

  1. Navigate to Respective tab.

  2. Click the Bitbucket icon and select Push method.

  1. Search and select Test Case or Test Case Folder.

Note:

  • Below is the note applicable for only Test Case Tab

  1. If users Test Case includes any Test Data and you want to push it to the Bitbucket Repository as well, simply select the corresponding Test Case.

  • Below are the notes applicable for all the artifacts.

  1. If user enable the Show only modified Utility Data table toggle button, only untracked artifacts data will be displayed.

  2. If the user wants to push the entire artifacts data to the Bitbucket Repository, they can use the Select All option available on the left side of the Push Test Cases popup window.

  1. Select Bitbucket Branch and enter push related message in respective filed.

  2. Click Push button to push Avo Assure Test Case or Test Case Folder to Bitbucket Repository.

Note:

  • Below are the notes applicable for only Test Case Tab

  1. If user's Test Case includes any elements from the Element Repository and user want to push those as well, simply check the Push associated Element Repository option.

  2. If user's Test Case includes any Data Table content for data parameterization and user want to push those to the Bitbucket repository as well, simply check the Push associated Data Table option.

  1. After clicking push button, user can see the toast message on screen as Successfully pushed.

Pushing Data Table to Bitbucket Repository

To push Data Table to Bitbucket Repository, perform the following actions:

  1. Navigate to Test Data Management tab.

  2. Click Bitbucket icon and select Push method.

  1. Search and select Data Table or Data Table folder.

Note:

  • If user enable the Show only modified Utility Datatable toggle button, only untracked Data Table Artifacts will be displayed.

  • If the user wants to push the entire Data Table to the Bitbucket Repository, they can use the Select All option available on the left side of the Push Data Tables popup window.

  1. Select Bitbucket Branch and enter push related message in respective filed.

  2. Click Push button to push Avo Assure Data Table or Data Table Folder to Bitbucket Repository.

  1. After clicking push button, user can see the Toast message on screen as Successfully pushed.
