Object Identification– OEBS Application

Methods to identify objects for an OEBS AUT

Prerequisites

  1. 1.
    The Application under test (AUT) must be up and running.
  2. 2.
    The Application under test (AUT) must have sufficient privileges for automation.

Click and Add

Click and Add is used to identify only the objects that exist on an OEBS application.
  1. 1.
    Click on the screen name in the ‘My Tasks - To Do’ pane.
2. Click on the ‘OEBS Apps’ icon from the Action Bar.
3. A pop-up titled Launch Application is displayed.

Launch Application:
  • Window Name: The window name of AUT must be entered here.
  • Launch Button: To start the object identification process of the AUT.
4. On clicking the Launch button, the application under test and the Avo Assure scrapper window will be opened.

5. Click on the ‘Start ClickAndAdd’ button on the Avo Assure scrapper window.

6. Wait till the ‘Start ClickAndAdd’ switches to ‘Stop ClickAndAdd’ in the Avo Assure scrapper window.

7. Click on the objects that have to be identified.
8. Once all the desired objects are selected, click on the ‘Stop ClickAndAdd’ button in the Avo Assure scrapper window. On clicking the ‘Stop ClickAndAdd’ button, it will stop identifying the objects.
9. Navigate to the OEBS Scrape screen. Observe that all the objects identified are displayed in the OEBS Scrape screen.

10. Click on the ‘Save’ button to save all the identified objects.

11. A pop-up with the message ‘Scraped data saved successfully’ is displayed.

Full Scrape

  1. 1.
    Click on the screen name in the ‘My Tasks - To Do’ pane.

2. Click on the ‘OEBS Apps’ icon from the Action Bar.

3. A pop-up titled Launch Application is displayed.

4. On clicking the Launch button, the application under test and the Avo Assure scrapper window will be opened.

5. Once the application is launched, select any object type from the dropdown in the object identification window and click on the Scrape button.

6. Navigate to the OEBS Scrape screen. All the objects of the selected object type will be displayed on the OEBS Scrape screen.
7. Click on the ‘Save’ button to save all the identified objects.
