# Generate Test Case using required document

### Steps to generate Test Case with the help of uploading Relevant Document&#x20;

&#x20;

1. Navigate to landing page, select required **Project** from project section to generate manual Test Cases.&#x20;
2. Click **Upload Requirements** button presents in Avo intelligence cart to navigate to Generate Test Case window, where you can upload relevant documents.&#x20;

3. Select **Document** tab&#x20;
4. Select **Template** from the Template dropdown&#x20;

   &#x20;

   **Additional information about Template** &#x20;

   A template in Avo Assure serves as a predefined structure that guides the Test Case generation process. It defines the parameters and key elements required for generating Test Cases, ensuring consistency in format and content across different testing scenarios. &#x20;

   Templates can help in simplifying the Test Case creation process, making it easier for teams to generate cases consistently and manage their testing documentation effectively.&#x20;

5. Click **Uploaded file** section, choose the PDF document you want to upload.  &#x20;

   &#x20;

   Navigate to the desired PDF file in your system folder and click **Open**.&#x20;

**Note:** Ensure that the selected document includes requirement details, specifications, and other relevant information necessary for generating accurate Test Cases.

Ensure that you selected file is uploaded in the **Name** table.

6. In Scope section we can see two options to generate Test Case&#x20;
   1. **All requirement**&#x20;
   2. **For following feature / module only**

### **a. All requirement** &#x20;

&#x20;By selecting **All requirement** radio button, you can see two options to generate Test Case<br>

**I. Test Case with test steps**\
In Test Case with test steps generation, the Test Cases are more detailed and descriptive

**II. Test Case without test steps**\
In Test Case without test steps generation, only the test type is mentioned

### I. Step to create Test Case with Test Steps&#x20;

1. Select **Create Test Case with test steps** radio button, click **Generate** button to generate Test Cases with test steps&#x20;

2. Select **Test Case** from list to see details of Test Case, click **Save** button.

3. Select **Release** from Release drop down, select **Tag** from Tag drop down, and click **Save** button.

### **II. Test Case without test steps**

1. Select **Create Test Case without Test Steps** radio button, click **Generate** button to generate Test Cases with test steps

2. Select **Test Case** from list to see details of Test Case, click **Save** button

3. Select **Release** from release drop down, select **Tag** from Tag drop down and click **Save** button.

### b.  **For following feature / module only**

To generate Test Cases for a specific module, follow the steps below.

1. Select **for following feature / module only** radio button from Scope
2. Enter specific **module name** in the text box.
3. Click **Generate** button

4. Select **Test Case** from list, to see the Test steps and detailed description of Test Case, click **Save** button.

5. Select **Release** from release drop down, select **Tag** from Tag drop down and click **Save** button
