# Simulate Press Action

This is a pre-built Action located under the captured textbox element. The functionality of this Action in Avo Assure is to simulate a press (mouse-down) action on the captured textbox. The result of this operation is stored in a dynamic variable for further use during test execution.

### **Example: Simulating a Press Action on an Object**

In this example, we explain how to simulate a press action on the specified object using the **Simulate Press Action**.

* **Action**: Simulate Press Action
* **Input Value**: N/A
  * This action does not require any input value in the **Input Value** column. It performs the default press action on the object.
* **Output Value**: {Status}
  * The result of the press operation is stored in this **{Status}** dynamic variable with the following possible values:
    * **True**: If the press action is executed successfully.
    * **False**: If the press action is not executed successfully.
* **Logical Explanation:** The **Simulate Press Action** identifies the target object in the application and performs the press action (such as Enter or Tab) on it. The result of this operation is stored in the **{Press}** variable as true.
