verifyTextboxLength

This is a pre-built Action located under the captured table element. The functionality of this Action in Avo Assure is to verify whether the maximum length of the textbox within the specified table cell matches the value provided in the input field. The result is stored in the given dynamic variable for further use during test execution.

Syntax

Input Value: <Row>;<Col>;<Object Type>;<Index>;<Value>

Argument	Description

<Object Type> (Required)	Provide the type of object within the input value field.
<Index> (Required)	Provide the index of the object within the input value field.

In this example, we explain how to verify whether the maximum character length of a textbox located within a specific cell of a captured table matches the expected value.

• Action: verifyTextboxLength

• Input Value: 2;4;input;1;15

  • The first argument (2) specifies the row number.

  • The second argument (4) specifies the column number.

  • The third argument (input) specifies the type of object present inside the cell.

  • The fourth argument (1) specifies the object index if multiple objects exist.

  • The fifth argument (15) specifies the expected maximum length to be verified.

• Output Value: {Status}

  • The verification result is stored in the {Status} dynamic variable, with the following possible values:

    • True: If the character length of the textbox matches the expected value.

    • False: If the character length of the textbox does not match the expected value.

• Logical Explanation: The verifyTextboxLength action reads the details from the Input Value column (2;4;input;1;15).
