verifyCellValue

This is a pre-built Action located under the captured table element. The functionality of this Action in Avo Assure is to verify the value of the specified table cell based on the input provided. The result is stored in the given dynamic variable for further use during test execution.

Syntax

Input Value: <Row>;<Column>;<value>

Argument
Description

<Row> (Required)

Provide the row number of the table cell you want to verify.

<Column> (Required)

Provide the column number of the table cell you want to verify.

<value> (Required)

Provide the value you want to verify for the specified cell.

Output Value: <Dynamic Variable>;<Dynamic Variable>(Optional)

Argument
Description

<Dynamic Variable>;<Dynamic Variable> (Optional)

Both dynamic variable stores the status as True or False.

Example: Verifying the Value of a Specific Table Cell

In this example, we explain how to verify whether the value present in a particular cell of a table matches the expected value.

  • Action: verifyCellValue

  • Input Value: 3;2;Approved

    • The first argument (3) specifies the row number.

    • The second argument (2) specifies the column number.

    • The third argument (Approved) specifies the expected value to be verified.

  • Output Value: {Status}

    • The verification result is stored in this {Status} dynamic variable, with the following possible values:

      • True: If the actual value in the cell matches the expected value.

      • False: If the actual value does not matches the expected value.

  • Logical Explanation: The verifyCellValue action reads the details from the Input Value column (3;2;Approved). It identifies the table cell located at row 3 and column 2, retrieves the value displayed in that cell, and compares it with the expected value (Approved). The result of this verification (True) is stored in the {Status} variable.
