# Press element

This is a pre-built Action located under the captured link element. The functionality of this Action in Avo Assure is to click on the specified link element during test execution. The result is stored in a dynamic variable for further use during test execution.

| Argument | Description    |

| Argument                                                    | Description                                                       |

### Example: Performing a Press Action on a Link Element

In this example, we explain how to use the **Press Element** action to perform a press operation on a specified link element within the application.

* **Action**: Press element
* **Input Value**: N/A
  * This action does not require any input value. It identifies the target link element and performs the press operation.
* **Output Value**: {Status}
  * The result of the press action is stored in this **{Status}** dynamic variable with the following possible values:
    * **True**: If the press action is performed successfully.
    * **False**: If the press action is not performed successfully.
* **Logical Explanation**: The **Press element** action identifies the captured UI element and triggers a press or click operation during test execution. The result of this action (**True**) is stores in the **{Status}** variable.
