# verifyToolTipText

This is a pre-built Action located under the Captured Element. The functionality of this action in Avo Assure is to verify whether the tooltip text displayed for the specified object matches the expected text provided in the input. The result is stored in the given dynamic variable for further use during test execution.

### **Syntax**

**Input Value**: `<Input text>`

| <p>\<Input text><br>(Required)</p> | Provide the text value you want to verify against the actual tooltip text from the application. |

**Output Value**: `<Dynamic Variable>(Optional);<Dynamic Variable>(Optional)`

### **Example: Verifying the Tooltip Text of a UI Element**

In this example, we are explaining how to verify whether the tooltip text associated with a specified UI element matches the expected value.

* **Action**: verifyToolTipText
* **Input Value**: Tooltip on top
  * The argument (**Tooltip on top**) specifies the expected tooltip text for the captured UI element.
* **Output Value**: {Tooltip}
  * The verification result is stored in the **{Status}** dynamic variable, with the following possible values:
    * **True**: If the tooltip text matches the expected value.
    * **False**: If the tooltip text does not matches the expected value.
* **Logical Explanation**: The **verifyToolTipText** action reads the value from the **Input Value** column (**Tooltip on top**). It retrieves the tooltip text from the UI element and compares it with the expected value. The action then stores the comparison result (**True**) in the  **{Status}** dynamic variable.
