# Set Focus on Object

This is a pre-built Action located under the captured element. The functionality of this action in Avo Assure is to set the focus on the specified captured object within the application. The result is stored in the given dynamic variable for further use during test execution.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note**: The **Set Focus on Object** action highlights the captured element on the AUT (Application Under Test) when executed.
{% endhint %}

## **Syntax**

**Input Value**: `N/A`

| Argument | Description    |
| -------- | -------------- |
| N/A      | Not Applicable |

**Output Value**: `<Dynamic Variable>(Optional);<Dynamic Variable>(Optional)`

| Argument                                                     | Description                                                       |
| ------------------------------------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------- |
| \<Dynamic Variable>(Optional);\<Dynamic Variable> (Optional) | Both dynamic variable stores the status as **True** or **False**. |

### **Example: Setting Focus on a Captured UI Element**

In this example, we are explaining how the action brings a specific application element into focus to make it active for further interaction.

* **Action**: Set Focus on Object
* **Input Value**: N/A
  * The action directly sets focus on the element captured from the application.
* **Output Value**: {Status}
  * The execution result is stored in the **{Status}** dynamic variable with the following possible values:
    * **True**: If the focus is set successfully.
    * **False**: If the focus is not set successfully.
* **Logical Explanation**: The **Set Focus on Object** action does not require any input value. It identifies the target element based on the captured object in the application and brings the element into focus by highlighting it on the screen. The execution result (**True**) is stored in the **{Status}** variable.
