# verifyPageTitle

This is a pre-built Action located under the **@Browser Element**. The functionality of this Action in Avo Assure is to fetch the page title and compare it with the expected title specified in the input value. The result of this Action is stored in a dynamic variable for further use during test execution.

### **Syntax**

**Input Value:** `<page title>`&#x20;

<table><thead><tr><th>Argument</th><th>Description</th><th data-hidden></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>&#x3C;page title><br>(Required)</td><td>Provide the expected page title to verify during execution.</td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>

**Output Value:** `<Dynamic Variable>(Optional);<Dynamic Variable>(Optional)`

<table><thead><tr><th>Argument</th><th>Description</th><th data-hidden></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>&#x3C;Dynamic Variable>(Optional);&#x3C;Dynamic Variable>(Optional)</td><td>Both dynamic variable stores the status as <strong>True</strong> or <strong>False</strong>.</td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>

### **Example: Verifying the Title of the Currently Loaded Web Page**

In this example, we explain how to verify that the title of the currently loaded web page matches the expected value using the **verifyPageTitle** action.

* **Action**: verifyPageTitle
* **Input Value**: Login
  * The Input Value (**Login**) specifies the expected title to compare against the title of the active web page in the browser.
* **Output Value**: {PageTitle}
  * The result of the verification is stored in this **{PageTitle}** dynamic variable with the following possible values:
    * **True**: If the current page title matches the expected value.
    * **False**: If the current page title does not match the expected value.
* **Logical Explanation**: The **verifyPageTitle** action takes the value from the **Input Value** column ( **Login**) and compares it with the title of the currently loaded web page. The result of this verification is stored in the **{PageTitle}** variable as true.
