# verifyCurrentURL

This is a pre-built Action located under the **@Browser Element**. The functionality of this Action in Avo Assure is to check whether the current page URL matches the specified input value. The result of this Action is stored in a dynamic variable for further use during test execution.

### **Syntax**

**Input Value:** `<url>`&#x20;

<table><thead><tr><th>Argument</th><th>Description</th><th data-hidden></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>&#x3C;url><br>(Required)</td><td>Provide the web address (URL) that you want to verify against the current URL of the application.</td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>

**Output Value:** `<Dynamic Variable>(Optional);<Dynamic Variable>(Optional)`

<table><thead><tr><th>Argument</th><th>Description</th><th data-hidden></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>&#x3C;Dynamic Variable>;&#x3C;Dynamic Variable>(Optional)</td><td>Both dynamic variable stores the status as <strong>True</strong> or <strong>False</strong>.</td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>

### **Example: Validating the Current Browser URL**

In this example, we explain how to verify that the current URL of the browser matches the expected value using the **verifyCurrentURL** action.

* **Action**: verifyCurrentURL
* **Input Value**: <https://avotestlab.avoassure.ai/>
  * The Input Value (**<https://avotestlab.avoassure.ai/>**) specifies the expected URL to compare against the current URL of the active browser window.
* **Output Value**: {VerifyURL}
  * The result of the verification is stored in this **{VerifyURL}** dynamic variable with the following possible values:
    * **True**: If the current URL matches the expected value.
    * **False**: If the current URL does not match the expected value.
* **Logical Explanation**: The **verifyCurrentURL** action takes the value from the **Input Value** column (**<https://avotestlab.avoassure.ai/>**) and compares it with the URL of the currently open page in the browser. The result of this verification is stored in the **{VerifyURL}** variable as true.
