# Close Browser

This is a pre-built Action located under the **@Browser Element**. The functionality of this Action in Avo Assure is to close the current browser window during debugging or execution. The result is stored in a dynamic variable for further use during test execution.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note:** If multiple browser windows are opened, only the currently active one will be closed.
{% endhint %}

## **Syntax**

**Input Value**: `N/A`

<table><thead><tr><th>Argument</th><th>Description</th><th data-hidden></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>N/A</td><td>Not Applicable</td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>

**Output Value**: `<Dynamic Variable>(Optional);<Dynamic Variable>(Optional)`

<table><thead><tr><th>Argument</th><th>Description</th><th data-hidden></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>&#x3C;Dynamic Variable>(Optional);&#x3C;Dynamic Variable>(Optional)</td><td>Both dynamic variable stores the status as <strong>True</strong> or <strong>False</strong>.</td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>

### Example: Closing the Browser Window

In this example, we explain how to close the currently opened browser window using the **Close Browser** action.

* **Action**: Close Browser
* **Input Value**: N/A
  * This action does required any input value in the **Input Value** column. It closes the browser that is currently active during execution.
* **Output Value**: {Close}
  * The result of close operation is stored in the **{Close}** dynamic variable, which returns one of the following values:
    * **True**: If the browser window is closed successfully.
    * **False**: If the browser window is not closed successfully.
* **Logical Explanation**: The **Close Browser** action does not require any input value. When executed, it closes the active browser window used during execution. The result of this action is stored in the **{Close}** variable as true.
