# Verify Popup Text

This is a pre-built Action located under the **@BrowserPopUp Element**. The functionality of this Action in Avo Assure is to verify whether the popup message matches the expected text specified in the **Input Value** column. The result is stored in a dynamic variable for further use during test execution.

## Syntax

**Input Value**: `<text>`

<table><thead><tr><th>Argument</th><th>Description</th><th data-hidden></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>&#x3C;text></td><td>Provide the expected pop-up message text to verify.</td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>

**Output Value**: `<Dynamic Variable>;<Dynamic Variable>(Optional)`

<table><thead><tr><th>Argument</th><th>Description</th><th data-hidden></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>&#x3C;Dynamic Variable>;&#x3C;Dynamic Variable>(Optional)</td><td>Both dynamic variable stores the status as <strong>True</strong> or <strong>False</strong>.</td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>

### **Example: Verifying the Message Displayed in a Browser Popup**

In this example, we explain how to verify whether the text displayed in a browser popup matches the expected value using the **verifyPopUpText** action.

* **Action**: verifyPopUpText
* **Input Value**: This is a Simple Alert
  * The input value (**This is a Simple Alert**) specifies the expected text to be verified in the browser popup.
* **Output Value**: {Verify}
  * The result of the verifying is stored in this **{Verify}** dynamic variable with the following possible values:
    * **True**: If the popup text matches the expected value.
    * **False**: If the popup text does not matches the expected value.
* **Logical Explanation**: The **verifyPopUpText** action takes the value from the **Input Value** column (**This is a Simple Alert**) and compares it with the text displayed in the currently active popup and the action result is stored in the **{Verify}** variable as true.
