# Get server certificate

This is a pre-built action located under the **WebService List Element**. The functionality of this action in Avo Assure is to retrieve the SSL/TLS certificate from the server associated with the endpoint URL and save it to a specified file path on the local machine.

#### Syntax

Input Value: \<File Path>Argument

| Argument | Description |
| ----------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| \<File Path> (Required) | The full path where the retrieved server certificate will be saved. |

#### Output Value

| Argument | Description |
| -------- | -------------- |
| N/A | Not Applicable |

**Example**

**Retrieving and Saving the Server Certificate from a Web Service**

The **Get server certificate** action takes the value from the Input Value column (e.g., C:\Certificates\server.crt) and retrieves the SSL certificate from the connected WebService endpoint. It then saves the certificate to the specified file path.
