# Get Type Of Cell

This is a pre-built action available under the **Captured Container Element** from the **SAP GUI Application**. The functionality of this action in Avo Assure is to fetch the type of a specific cell, identified by its row and column position and save the result in the dynamic variable.

### Syntax

**Input Value:** `<Row>;<Column>`

{% hint style="warning" %}
***Note:** Index value of the row and column starts form **1.***
{% endhint %}

| Argument             | Description                                                                        |
| -------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| \<Row> (Required) | Provide the row index within the container where the action needs to be performed. |
| \<Column> (Required) | Provide the column number where the action should be applied. |

**Output Value**

| Argument                       | Description                                                                |
| ------------------------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| \<Dynamic Variable> (Required) | This variable holds the cell type fetched from the specified cell. |
| \<Dynamic Variable> (Optional) | This dynamic variable holds the execution status as **True** or **False.** |

**Example**

**Retrieves the type of a 1st row and 1st column cell within the container**

The **GetTypeOfCell** action is used to retrieve the type of the cell located at the **1st row** and **1st column** within the container. The identified cell type **(e.g., GuiTextField)** is stored in the **{Cell Type}** variable.
