This action in Avo Assure is available under the **@Generic** element. It instructs the Avo Assure client to iterate the given block of test steps as it executes as per the provided number in the input column. It is mandatory to use the End-for action along with the For action else dangling error will be reflected on the client and the test case will fail.

***Note:** "For" condition supports nesting looping and allows user to iterate over multiple levels of data efficiently and user can also start index number from 0*

### Syntax

**Input Value:** `<number>`

| \<number>(Required) | Enter the number of times the loop should iterate (an integer) |

**Output Value**

**Begins a loop that repeats a defined number of times**

The **For** action takes the value from the Input Value column **(e.g., 5)** and starts a loop that repeats the enclosed steps the specified number of times.
