# Get Current Day, Date, Time

This is a pre-built Action located under the **@Generic Element**. The functionality of this Action in Avo Assure is to fetch the current day, date, and time from the system. The extracted value is stored in the given dynamic variable for further use during test execution.

## Syntax

**Input Value**: `N/A`&#x20;

| Argument | Description    |
| -------- | -------------- |
| N/A      | Not Applicable |

**Output Value**: `<Dynamic Variable>;<Dynamic Variable>(Optional)`

| Argument                                 | Description                                                       |
| ---------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------- |
| <p>\<Dynamic Variable><br>(Required)</p> | This dynamic variable stores the current day, date, and time. |
| <p>\<Dynamic Variable><br>(Optional)</p> | This dynamic variable stores the status as **True** or **False**. |

### Example: Getting the Full System Timestamp

In this example, we explain how to fetch the complete current system timestamp, including the day, date, and time.

* **Action**: Get Current Day, Date, Time
* **Input Value**: N/A
  * This action does not require any input value. It automatically retrieves the full current timestamp from the system.
* **Output Value**: {Current Timestamp}
  * The retrieved timestamp (Tuesday 15/04/2025 01:23:30) is stored in this **{Current Timestamp}** dynamic variable.
  * If a second output variable is provided, then action returns the status as **True** or **False**:
    * **True**: If the timestamp is successfully retrieved.
    * **False**: If the retrieval fails due to a system error or invalid format.
* **Logical Explanation**: The **Get Current Day, Date, Time** action fetches the complete system timestamp, including the day, date, and time. The result (Tuesday 15/04/2025 01:23:30) is stored in the **{Current Timestamp}** variable.
