# Verify text

This is a pre-built action available under the **Captured Textbox Element** from the **Desktop Application**. The functionality of this action in Avo Assure is to verify whether the text present in the specified textbox matches the expected text provided in the input value and save the result in dynamic variable.

### **Syntax**

**Input Value:** `<input text>`&#x20;

| Argument                              | Description                                                          |
| ------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| <p>\<input text></p><p>(Required)</p> | Enter the text value to be compared with the actual textbox content. |

**Output Value**

| Argument                                                    | Description                                                      |
| ----------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
| \<Dynamic Variable>(Optional);\<Dynamic Variable>(Optional) | This dynamic variable holds the result as **True** or **False**. |

**Example**

**Verifies that the text in a textbox matches the expected value.**

The **Verify Text** action takes the expected text **(e.g., Jhon)** from the Input Value column and compares it with the actual text present in the textbox element. The result of this verification is stored in the **{Verify}** variable as **True** ( if the text verified successfully ) or **False** ( if the text is not verified successfull&#x79;**)**
