# Verify selected tab

This is a pre-built action available under the **Captured Tab Element** from the **Desktop Application**. The functionality of this action in Avo Assur is to compare the user-provided input value with the selected tab and the stores the result in dynamic variable.

### Syntax

**Input Value:** `<tab Text>`&#x20;

| Argument                            | Description                                                     |
| ----------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------- |
| <p>\<tab Text></p><p>(Required)</p> | Specify the tab name to verify its presence in the application. |

**Output Value:**&#x20;

<table><thead><tr><th valign="top">Argument </th><th valign="top">Description </th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td valign="top">&#x3C;Dynamic Variable>(Optional);&#x3C;Dynamic Variable>(Optional)</td><td valign="top">This dynamic variable holds the status of the action as <strong>True</strong> or <strong>False</strong>.</td></tr></tbody></table>

**Example**

**Verifies the selected tab based on the given tab name**

The **Verify selected tab** action takes the value from the Input Value column (e.g., **Verify Details**) and verifies whether the specified tab is currently selected in the captured tab element. The result of the verification is stored in the **{Tab Verify}** variable as **True**  ( if the specified tab is selected) or (**False** ) if the tab is not selected.
