# Set Text IRIS

This is a pre-built action available under the **Captured Textbox Element** from the **Desktop Application** using the **IRIS method**. The functionality of this action in Avo Assure is to enter the specified text into a textbox.

### **Syntax**

**Input Value:** `<input value>`&#x20;

| Argument                  | Description                                            |
| ------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| \<input value> (Required) | Enter the text that needs to be entered in the textbox |

**Output Value**

| Argument                                                    | Description                                                      |
| ----------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
| \<Dynamic Variable>(Optional);\<Dynamic Variable>(Optional) | This dynamic variable holds the result as **True** or **False**. |

**Example**

**Enters JohnDoe text into an IRIS textbox in the Avo Bank desktop Application.**

The **Set Text IRIS** action takes the input value provided in the Input Value column **(e.g., JohnDoe)** and enters it into the **User Name** IRIS textbox.
