# Clear Text IRIS

This is a pre-built action available under the **Captured Textbox Element** from the **Desktop Application** using the **IRIS method**. The functionality of this action in Avo Assure is to clear the value from the textbox.

**Example**

**Clears the text present in the Password textbox element in the Desktop application**

The **Clear Text IRIS** action does not require any value from the Input Value column. It clears the existing text from the captured textbox element using the IRIS method.
