# Get Row Count IRIS

This is prebuilt action in Avo Assure, designed for table elements captured from desktop applications using the IRIS method. It instructs the Avo Assure Client to retrieve the total number of rows in the table and save the count in the output variable

### **Scenario:** Retrieve total number of customers records in the table

Consider a scenario where a desktop-based customer management application is being tested and there is a need to determine the total number of customer records in the table. For this scenario, the Get Row Count IRIS action is used by Avo Assure. It extracts the row count from the customer record table. It helps to access the records easily.

The action needs to fetch the input text's row number and save the result in the output variable.&#x20;

### **Output**

The action is performed and stores the status as True in the {Result} output variable as count of 8.&#x20;
